Yipy is made for private, shared memories. This policy explains what information we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Yipy is operated by ASNAFF TECHNOLOGIES L.L.C. (“Yipy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Questions about privacy can be sent to privacy@yipy.app.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

When you create a Yipy account, we collect your email address, account identifier, verification status, display name, and any profile photograph you choose to add.

Rolls and shared content

We process the Rolls you create or join, invitations, membership, Roll settings, photographs, covers, captions or notes, reactions, and related activity needed to provide the shared album experience.

Location and place information

If you give Yipy location permission, we may process the precise location and capture time associated with a photograph. We use nearby Apple place results to let you confirm a place. This helps you search your own memories by place later. Location is optional and is not used for advertising.

Relationships and activity

We process follows, Rollmate relationships, invitations, and recent product activity so that shared Rolls, feeds, and notifications work as expected.

Device, security, and service information

We receive limited technical information needed to authenticate requests, protect accounts, prevent abuse, deliver media, diagnose failures, and maintain service reliability. This may include app version, device and integrity signals, request timestamps, and security or audit events.

3. How we use information

• create and secure your account;
• create, develop, reveal, and share Rolls with their members;
• store and deliver your photographs and profile media;
• show invitations, people, activity, and your own place-based memory search;
• respond to support, safety, and privacy requests;
• detect abuse, protect the service, and meet legal obligations; and
• improve reliability and understand whether core product features work.

4. How information is shared

Roll members can see the profile information and shared content that belongs to their Roll. People you follow or share Rolls with may see relationship and activity information relevant to those features.

We use service providers to operate Yipy, including Apple services for device features and place suggestions, and Google/Firebase and Google Cloud services for authentication, security, databases, media storage, email delivery, and infrastructure. They process information only to provide services to us under their applicable terms.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people and the service, or as part of a corporate transaction with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Retention

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide Yipy. Some security records, backups, transaction records, or information required by law may be kept for a limited period after deletion. We aim to keep no information longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

6. Your choices and rights

You can choose whether to grant location access, update profile information, leave or hide eligible Rolls, and manage follows in the app. To request account deletion, email privacy@yipy.app or use Profile → Account & Privacy → Email Deletion Request. Sending a request does not immediately deactivate your account. We verify ownership and confirm the next steps and applicable timing before changing the account. See our account deletion page.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to certain processing. Contact privacy@yipy.app to make a request.

7. Security

We use access controls, encrypted network connections, private media storage, authenticated requests, device integrity checks, and other safeguards designed to protect Yipy information. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Children

Yipy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Yipy, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

9. International processing

Yipy and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Yipy changes. We will publish the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
