A Roll is your photo album. Keep it personal or invite friends. Name it for a trip, a place, or a subject, and take photos straight into it.
Invite friends, if you like
Share the invite link on WhatsApp or in your group chat. Friends new to Yipy can download the app, then return to the invitation to join.
Capture your moments
Open the Roll and take a photo. It belongs in that album from the start. If you've invited friends, their photos become part of the same memory.
Your friends don't need to be on Yipy already. They just need your invitation and the iPhone app.

Not every Roll
needs a group.
Create a Roll just for yourself, around a subject, a place, or something you love. Take photos straight into it, keeping each collection together from the start.

Capture now, without previews. The Roll closes when its frame capacity fills or its capture window ends. Discover the album according to its reveal and participation rules.

Find a person's photos or the Rolls you've shared. This searches the photographer or participant, not faces in an image.

Return to your own photos with a saved place attached. Location is optional; Yipy doesn't add places to older photos automatically.

Look up a Roll or narrow results with a date filter. The same membership, reveal and contribution rules still apply.
Make the invitation yours
The memory starts
with an invitation.
Add a cover, logo, event details and colors to a Roll invitation. Choose a layout, then share the invitation image and link through WhatsApp or your usual group chat.
Friends join your Roll in the iPhone app. Your invitation has a matching web page; the automatic WhatsApp link preview may still show Yipy's general card.

A few good questions.
Can I use Yipy on my own?
Yes. Create a Roll just for yourself and name it around a topic or place. You don't need to invite anyone. Take photos directly into that album to keep the collection together from the start.
Do my friends need to use Yipy already?
No. Create a Roll and share its invitation link through WhatsApp or your group chat. New users download Yipy, set up their account, then return to the invitation to join.
Who can see the photos?
Rolls are private to their members. What you can see, and when you can see it, depends on the Roll's mode and participation rules. Check those details when you join.
When do the photos appear?
In a Live Roll, members can see photos as they become ready. In a Sealed Roll, photos stay hidden until reveal after the Roll fills or its capture window ends. If the creator sets a minimum contribution, members below it see only their own photos after reveal; qualifying members and the creator can see the full album.
Can I find a photo by person or place?
Yes. Search by photographer or participant, your own saved places, Roll or date. People search does not use face recognition, and place search needs a place saved with your photo. Search does not unlock photos you don't have permission to view.
Does Yipy work on Android?
Yipy is currently available for iPhone. Everyone taking part needs the iPhone app.
Does Yipy organise my existing camera library?
No. Yipy isn't a camera-library cleaner. You take new photos directly into a personal or shared Roll, so they belong to the right album from the beginning.
