These terms are the rules for using Yipy. By creating an account or using Yipy, you agree to them.
1. The service
Yipy is a shared photography service operated by ASNAFF TECHNOLOGIES L.L.C. It lets people create finite Rolls, invite participants, capture photographs, and reveal shared albums.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping your credentials secure, and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of photographs, names, notes, covers, and other content you submit. You grant Yipy a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, reproduce, adapt for technical delivery, and display that content only as necessary to operate, secure, and improve Yipy.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload content and share it with Roll members. Consider the privacy and wishes of people shown in your photographs.
4. Shared Rolls
Roll content is shared with the accepted members of that Roll. Membership, invitations, reveal timing, and visibility can affect who sees content. Do not invite people or share links in a way that violates another person’s rights or expectations.
5. Acceptable use
Yipy has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not use Yipy to:
- upload unlawful, abusive, exploitative, threatening, hateful, or sexually explicit content;
- harass, impersonate, stalk, or expose private information about another person;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, image, or other rights;
- distribute malware, automate abusive activity, or interfere with the service;
- circumvent security, access controls, Roll limits, or account restrictions; or
- use Yipy for illegal activity.
6. Safety and moderation
Yipy provides in-app controls to report content and profiles and to block abusive users. Blocking immediately filters the blocked person and their content from your feed and sends a safety report to Yipy. We review objectionable-content reports within 24 hours and, when a report is substantiated, remove the content and suspend or eject the responsible user. Yipy may also restrict visibility, limit features, or preserve information when reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. You can report safety concerns to safety@yipy.app.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process information. Location access is optional and controlled through Yipy and iPhone settings.
8. Account deletion and termination
You may request deletion of your account as explained on our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create risk, or use Yipy unlawfully. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a chance to appeal.
9. Changes and availability
Yipy will evolve. Features may be added, changed, interrupted, or discontinued. We aim to protect active memories and give reasonable notice of material changes, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Yipy is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Yipy and ASNAFF TECHNOLOGIES L.L.C. are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid to Yipy in the prior twelve months or USD 100, except where law requires otherwise.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes that cannot be resolved informally.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate. Continuing to use Yipy after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
